The Role
Found my placement very enjoyable. The whole 12 months was enjoyable and exciting
Felt very welcome and that my input was valued when I spoke or asked a question
Supervisors were very attentive and checked up on me regularly ,every 3 months I had a review where I could sit down and discuss issues with my managers
Very busy especially in the summer months when the crops were close to harvest, many opportunities for overtime
Lots of responsibility given especially once I received my spraying qualification I would be sent out regurally alone to complete tasks which required time management
The sprayer training I received from the company I can use for the rest of my life and the field experience I gained can be used in future careers
The Company
The atmosphere of the office was warm and welcoming every day I was greeted with hellos from the whole team. Each day was timetabled so you would walk into the office and pair off with your team menebf for the day. Everybody was really nice and easy to talk to.
Every day was timetabled so the placement was very well organised and structured
I received two qualifications completely free of charge that the company paid for that I can use in the future.
Flexi Time
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
The organisation offer a graduate recruitment scheme where they off you a job for when you graduate and £1000 so they are very appealing
The Culture
Very good social scene and regular nights out with other students and colleges
Lived with 3 other students from work in village 10 mins from work cost £300 a month. Socialising was good value with local cities offering a good night out for a cheap taxi fare
The village had very little nightlife but a short taxi and you can go to Nottingham Derby and Loughborough
Teams had socialising events to get to know each other and there were many company nights out
