The Role

The Role

1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

Thoroughly enjoyed the job. A real mix of responsibilities allowed me to develop my skills in various areas and appreciate how my hard work at university can relate to real life business situations.

2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?

Great 'banter' in the office, regular nights out, high levels of respect in the workplace. Everyone has come from the same place and looking to go to the same place.

3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?

Employee development is of huge importance in this company. Managers are promoted depending on the progress of their staff, making for a great incentive to get the best from everyone.

4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

Generally busy, busy, busy but i wouldn't have it any other way. The days fly by!

5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?

From day 1 you are given great responsibility and after 4 months expect to be running the office. No 9-5 photocopying here.

6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

I have learnt so much in my placement and i feel ready for any challenge now.

The Organisation

7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

Great banter with likeminded people.

8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?

Perfect. From the interview process through to all the additional training recieved.

9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

The company invests huge amounts from day 1. From hotel rooms, cars and the expertise of experienced employees.

10. What were the perks on your work placement?

  • Flexi Time
  • Financial Bonus
  • Company Parties/Events
  • Healthcare from home

11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?

A great place to begin any career. Super fast staff development and promotion. A young organisation which is growing at a scary pace.

12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

As much or as little as you want.

13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

I lived at home so my only real expense was fuel. Good pay enabled me to save a bit for my final year at uni and to live comfortably.

14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?

Most probaly no better or worse than any mid sized town.

15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?

The are always opportunites if wanted. From being involved with the diversity commity to out-of-hours team. If you want it, Enterprise will bend over backwards to help.
