    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • A nice environment to work in, with a good, enjoyable atmosphere

    3/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Immediately integrated in to the team from day 1 and made to feel a part of it

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Managers are working in the same office so are constantly there if any advice is needed - are happy to help you too.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Dependent on the time of the month, but could have been busier

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Given responsibility for a number of tasks and allowed to go to meetings alone, meeting with quite senior people within adidas UK.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • A valuable experience in working life, which I'm sure will help when getting a job after graduating. Difficult to know how useful it will be for final year at uni!

    3/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • A young team that all get on well

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Had a good handover period with the previous placement student to become an integrated member of the team. Could have been more in a general sense of meeting the other placement students, getting shown around the offices and finding out how the business works.

    3/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Had no training courses, but more on the job training

    3/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Subsidised Canteen

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    Company Parties/Events

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Many placement students return to the business on graduating

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Never given the chance to meet the other placement students, but within my team a few events were organised. Left up to the team to organise though.

    3/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Not in central Manchester so not too expensive

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Lots of restaurants, pubs, clubs, bars etc - good transport links into Manchester

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • In the local area there is lots to get involved in. Within adidas there are limited activities outside of work - the boys had a 5-a-side football league running, but otherwise limited activities.

    4/5
