    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • We were given a lot of freedom to properly explore a project. The people are all friendly and supportive and there are a lot of interns, which makes things more fun.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Team spirit was great, but a very specific sort of person works here and it's sometimes difficult to break in without being that sort of person.

    3/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Everyone gets a manager and a mentor. Part of the mentor's job during the placement is to help their intern.

  • It's very much up to you how much work you do.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I learnt a lot in a specific area, but was only really introduced to one area of coding.

  • My mentor spent a lot of time training me

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • They give job interviews at the end of the internship. However, they are only looking for a specific sort of person and if you're not that sort of person, they're not looking to hire.

    3/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
