    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Loved it! Great, incredibly positive and supportive working environement. Everyone is willing to help one and other and the general attitude of the office is fantastic.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • At L'Oreal interns are not treated like average 'interns'. My ideas were heard and respected, if ever I had an idea to improve a mechanism or do things a different way, my colleagues were always willing to listen.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • At L'Oreal it is expected that you take ownership and lead your own projects - I did feel supported by my manager but perhaps not as much as in other internships.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Very busy, I managed a number of projects during a short time. This was more out of choice, I think the harder you work and the more you are willing to give, the more work you will get. This, I feel, is important especially when you are interning, as you need to learn as much as possible whilst you have the opportunity!

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given full responsiblilty for a number of projects. This is what made my internship so enjoyable. Initially, I was thrown in at the deep end but soon swam!

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I would say that I have improved the ability to manage my own projects and developed my analytical. I also feel that my ability to manage stress has improved. Excellent work experience.
