    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The placement was very enjoyable. The particular project that I was assigned to was within an area of great personal interest.

  • A few weeks into the placement I forgot thinking of myself as an intern and more as a team member. My colleagues treated me as a normal team member.

  • I was given plenty of support and guidance when I requested it. At times I was also encouraged to spend time thinking about how to solve a particular problem.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • At first I was waiting for certain admin tasks to be completed to allow me access to project resources. Once access was granted I was generally busy throughout the day without feeling over-worked.

  • I was given a high level of responsibility and in my first week was making changes to live systems.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The work I did was aligned well to my degree studies. It allowed me to use my existing skills well and the new skills I learnt were applicable to my degree.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Office was an open and fun experience. Everyone was friendly and someone was always around to help out.

  • The placement was planned well however had to send my documentation multiple times after my offer.

  • The firm invested a lot in us - this investment included a funded QA excel course..

  • I would be very happy to continue employment here.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Social scene was average, it was mostly left for us to organize.

  • I was living at home during the placement so only had to pay for commute into London.

  • This didn't apply to me as I was living at home.

  • This is dependent on the project that you are assigned to. My project there was normally fortnightly events.
