  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Overall, it is a very good learning experience. Flexible working environment and supportive team.

  • It was a bit daunting in the beginning but as I started to develop my skills and ideas, they did value your contributions.

  • The managers and mentors were generally very kind and happy to answer your questions. But you are as well expected to learn a lot of stuff by yourself.

  • It varied from day to day. I was kept pretty busy most of times.

  • I was assigned two projects over the summer, roughly the right amount for me to finish.

  • I developed my programming skills which will be useful in many aspects. A job in this industry or stay in my engineering field.

  • Sometimes can be very quiet but in general interesting colleagues. Casual (no particular dress code).

  • Metaswitch has developed its internship system for many years and it does a good job.

  • I was given a significant amount of time to learn rather than just do the actual work.
