    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I was given great support and guidance, I always felt that I could ask questions and staff were very encouraging.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I always had something interesting to do and when I had completed my work there was always something more to do. I had to be very diligent with my time as sometimes I was doing a couple of jobs and once ... all added to the experience of working in a busy environment.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • As I was only on placement for a month responsibility was given more towards the end of my placement in terms of researching material for clients. I only wish my placement had lasted longer so I could be given more responsibility.

    3/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • This placement has vastly supported the knowledge I have obtained from my degree. I have felt that I have been able to put my degree in Real Estate in to practice and it has been very rewarding doing so. This month has certainly provided me with skills for life.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • A great environment, my colleages were very hard working and we really did get our heads down when we needed to but overall a fun and vibrant office.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Everything was seamlessly in place, I had work to do as soon as I entered the office on my first day and the HR department always provided me with the important information I needed.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The company were always willing to answer any questions I had, they were very supportive. Opportunities were always created for me in order to get out of the office, see work first hand and meet clients.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • 3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I would love to have a job within Savills and will certainly be applying for their graduate scheme.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Great social scene with lots of colleagues meeting up after work hours.

    3/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • As I already live close to the area I worked in the cost of living and socialising was relatively low.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Ipswich doesn't exactly have the best nightclubs but as long as you are with the right people it is an alright area to go out in!

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Not as of yet but I am sure if I was to come back as a graduate there would be!

    3/5
