  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • A very close knit team, that provide support and advice even when they are busy. You will often help other members of the team and when required they will assist you.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Fantastic support is given. The tasks are thoroughly explained and then you are given the time and space to work your way through the work. While knowing you can ask for assistance if required.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • This role is very busy at month end and a bit more relaxed during the month. If you are very enthusiastic and understand the work you will be given more work, potentially in different departments.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • You are given a large amounts of responsibilities during your placement. Many of these if they aren't performed currently have a direct impact on others.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • You apply the skills from your degree in a practical environment. While also picking up more broader 'life skills'.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Fun maybe isn't the correct word, as work needs to be done and has to be done to deadlines. But the atmosphere is friendly and fun and everyone has time for you.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • You are in a permanent position. Not just a role made up for you. You have 6monthly reviews but are welcome to ask for them more regularly.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I wasn't placed on any courses but was support in a trip to the Broughton Plant and was given time off to look around other areas of the business.

    4/5

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The general age in the office isn't young. However, there are enough people willing to have a drink in the evening and also around 70 interns exist on the Filton site to social with.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Bristol varies a lot. Different areas cost more to live in. I would recommend living near work and then socialising in town, however, it is expensive.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • If you can get a good group of people you will not be short of good nights out in Bristol.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Nothing through work but plenty of local teams and clubs to joining.
