  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Slightly disappointing - not as much responsibility as first anticipated

  • Felt part of the team, although could have been challenged a lot more

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • No catch ups, personal development areas or goals set at the start. Good support from HR

  • Pretty quiet and not enough to be getting on with however had some busy periods

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Lack of responsibility, the most responsibility was helping build presentations and research but mainly consisted of basic, simple stuff

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Worked as a team with other interns on a charity project which was useful in building key skills such as teamwork, relationship management, organisation etc.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Sociable office. Nice team atmosphere but not as sociable as other teams. Felt comfortable going out for drinks with other interns teams though.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Well set up, everything was organised prior to arrival (email, phone) so didn't have to waste time on admin. Key dates were agreed early on.

  • Charity work aided development however no personal training and development from line manager/team

  • Company Parties/Events

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Fairly large proportion offered jobs onto the graduate scheme. Awaiting to hear decision however organised well and expected to hear promptly

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Really good social scene amongst interns - 50 taken on across all business areas. Regularly went for drinks with interns and occasionally with colleagues/graduates

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Central London, so fairly expensive. If with team or graduates however, you are not expected to pay for your drinks, can't complain!

  • Easy walk to Shoreditch, central London, so everywhere accessible

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Charity work set up for us. Not much apart from that
