    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my placement at MUSI. All the people were really friendly which definitely added to the experience

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • All of my colleagues were extremely helpful. Everyone was happy to spend time and explain topics to me even when they may have been straightforward and basic. This was true of even the senior staff from other departments

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I had daily interaction with my manager, but we also had three formal meetings. One to set objectives, another to review my progress and a final meeting to evaluate the internship. The mid internship review was very useful as my manager gave me valuable tips on how to improve.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • There was a lot to do both on and off the desk

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I had very little prior knowledge about the technical aspects of the work in my department. Despite this, after only a short period I was given appropriate responsibilities within the team

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Not only did I gain knowledge about the department that I worked in, I also improved my practical skills such as delivering presentations and communicating effectively to different members of the company.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

  • The internship was very well organised.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • We had a week's intense training, a day out in the bloomberg offices and a secondary rotation all within the 10 weeks. These are features that many other internships do not provide, but were extremely beneficial to developing my knowledge and understanding.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    Company Parties/Events

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Future employment at the company is very appealing to me because I have enjoyed my time here so much. Workers that are a few years older than me have praised the graduate system which involves the ability to experience exposure in a number of departments.

    5/5

    The Culture
