    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • From day one at Pendragon PLC I was made to feel very welcome. I recieved fantastic opportunities throughout the year and looked forward to each day at work.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Throughout my year at Pendragon PLC I felt valued by my fellow team members and also members of the leadership team. I have formed lasting relationships with both colleagues and business partners.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Support was always there should I have needed it however you were not 'spoon fed' the information needed for projects. This was good as it ensured that you were challenged.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Not at any point would I consider myself to have been bored during my year with Pendragon PLC. There was a good balance of work throughout the year however there were occasions when the work load would be sufficiently higher. This was a good learning experience however and helped with my time management skills.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Throughout my placement year I have been given great responsibility. From managing small projects to overseeing whole events. A placement that is definitely not lacking on the responsibility front.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I will take away many aspects from my year at Pendragon PLC. I have gained a great understanding of how a large business operates and have picked up many transferable skills which I will be able to take back to university and utilise in my future career. I have a better understanding of how marketing is a crucial aspect of a business and it's success, especially in such a fast paced industry.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • There was never a dull day in the office. The head office has a great atmosphere and there was a great balance of work and play in the office.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • From the first telephone interview to the induction on my first day the overall set up of the placement was very straight forward and efficient.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I received some business training in my first week at Pendragon PLC and also had the opportunity to undertake a First Aid course during the year. With regards to personal development, I feel the projects and the guidance given to me by my leaders have helped me to develop my business skills which I will be able to take away and use in my future career.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    Company Parties/Events

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I would be honoured to be offered a position with Pendragon PLC after my final year at university. I have been told there are great opportunities for undergraduates to come back to the company after they have graduated.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Throughout the year there have been many social events with both other placement students and team members of the company. However as the office is on a business park there is not the same 'After work drinks' that you would find on a placement in the city centre. I lived in central Nottingham, however most placement students lived closer to the business park.

    3/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Nottingham is well priced.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • There is a great range of bars and clubs in Nottingham. I am unsure of the surrounding areas of the business park etc.

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Being part of the Events team I had lots of opportunities to get involved with activities outside of the office. There were also many charitable events which you can get involved in; such a sponsored bike rides etc.

    3/5
