The Role
Fantastic year that gave me a well rounded retail insight.
Became very valued as part of the management team.
My manager was absolutly amazing, she gave me support in business and personal situations.
Everyday was busy and different but with good planning, nothing that couldn't be handled.
A lot! Very quickly you are not seen as a trainee and colleagues look up to you for guidence.
Great training inparticular for people skills and how to handle different people in different situations.
The Company
All managers are different but on the whole most managers were up for a laugh in the right setting.
Wasn't stated clearly at the start that a lot of personal learning needed to be driven by yourself, but when that message was recieved colleagues were all willing to help and answer questions.
Pretty much the lot! Multiple training courses throughout the year at different locations as well as catch up days for fellow interns/grads.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Made very clear from the start that there is potential to be offered a job at the end.
The Culture
Hard in stores as there isnt loads of fellow students but did meet up with other interns from around the region.
Not too bad but not cheap to have a night out!
Very hard to get to and not rated well.
Sports and social clubs happen every week.
