  • The work was challenging and always very interesting.

  • Treated like a full time member of staff throughout the placement and so I felt my contribution was always appreciated.

  • Fully supported by my line managers, always able to approach them with any issues.

  • Enough work to keep me busy every day of my placement.

  • As a junior member of staff you can only expect a certain amount of responsibility. However, I was always trusted to manage my own working day with support if needed.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The subject matter in my laboratory work is very similar to my biology degree. It has also helped me greatly in, already, gaining employment after university.

  • Good fun, but always professional.

  • All interns were constantly supported over the 12-months by a dedicated placement team within the company. Specific training courses were also held for interns.

  • I requested to spend time on another site within the UK. This request was granted and financial support was provided.

  • Large group of students, very sociable.

  • Southampton is comparable to other cities in the UK.
