  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • People can find it tough and demanding, but after the learning curve it becomes a lot more enjoyable.

  • The teams grow very close and the people are great, teamwork is key and the challenges mean that you bond well.

  • Work can be very autonomous, this is a positive or negative thing depending on what you are looking for.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was very busy on a daily business, but i found this to be a huge positive and the work is very interesting and diverse.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • The more you prove yourself, the more responsibility you are given. You can easily expect to do the job same as a full time employee should you have the ability.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Better than I expected, if you apply yourself you can expect to be prepared fully for a full time role.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere changes day to day as it is a very dynamic environment, but my team had a great relationship and a good laugh.

  • The first week is a bit messy due to the sheer volume of new arrivals, but after that it is all rather slick.

  • Lots of opportunities, but its totally up to you to make the most of them.

  • The graduate scheme is highly competitive even among interns who have a much better chance of being successful than external candidates. Among other schemes its certainly up there.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Monthly bar, local pub, strategy and team days out. All depends on how social you want to be!

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Socialising in London isn't exactly cheap but the placement is amongst the better paid ones.

  • Quick tube into central London, best night-life in the country!

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • The intern groups organised a few activities, and there are clubs etc.
