  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I enjoyed it very much. It is very informative. There were break times with nibbles that we can chat and eat.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I feel valued. We are given name tags labeled also with the University's name and study subject. Investment banking staff talked to me. 4 interns also talked to me.

  • Guidance on applying interns.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I get an introduction about the divisions in MUSI & BTMU, and a brief history about the changes in banking since 2008.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Breaks fit well in between talks and panel discussion. The pace is neither too fast nor slow - just right for me.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • friendly in a work environment

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I think it is very good for an insight day. With close to 70 attendees, the reimbursement of transport cost is not low. Plus there are costs to refreshments, wine, and hiring an employer communication agency. Many division heads and chief executives attended.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • We got the opportunities to talk to staff to give insight of a typical day. They all tried to give information - one is more keen about her work; the other is more keen about giving information on application.

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • I can get a feeling of the company culture that it wanted to project.

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • 5/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • Reimbursed for transport costs.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Plenty. Arranged and during break times. Plus the staff and interns would actively talk to you.

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • There is a facebook page of all the attendees.

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • No. Not really. All I know is their working hours seem to be normal.

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Yes. Have already done so to a student in economics.
