About You
I thoroughly enjoyed the insight. It was a great way to meet a variety of people, learn about the firm and get involved in the type of work trainees are given.
Definitely. Most people knew who we were and why we were there. Graduate recruitment, supervisors and mentors all made a huge effort to make us feel welcome and to answer all our questions.
We had a session before our partner interview. This gave some useful advice and helped to calm the nerves. During our seats we had a supervisor and a mentor who were always available to give guidance and support.
My experience has enabled me to understand what I want from my training contract.
The Company
As vacation scheme students, we always knew where we were supposed to be and were informed in advance of any changes.
Everyone was extremely friendly and all the vacation scheme students thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks.
We were given feedback and guidance when completing work.
The insight allowed me to understand the culture of the firm, and has shown me what it would be like to have a full time role with the firm.
We were exposed to many people at different levels. This undoubtedly enabled me to understand the company culture
Everything Else
We were given a good weekly salary.
There were plenty of opportunities if you were willing to meet people
We met a broad range of trainees at a many different events, both formal and informal. Thus, the networking and social event opportunities were very good.
Employees told us about the different things they were involved in outside work. Both formal organised events and more informal drinks and meals.
Definitely.
