    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • We were given enough work to keep us busy and challenged but when the tasks were too tough to figure out in our own, we had the time to research or investigate to find the answer. We also had time to complete extra curricular activities like charity work, volunteering, networking.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • We were given as much responsibility as can be expected an intern will attain. I was entrusted with some work that required it to be done correctly and in a timely manner to meet a publishing deadline, which I felt was a massive responsibility.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I've learned so much from the 10 weeks I spent in Morgan Stanley. It comes from working with such intelligent people, being surrounded by information and having to learn what's going on quickly. On completion of my final year of studies, I will know exactly how much I learned.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • There was a fantastic atmosphere in the office, everyone was so friendly towards interns and always willing to help. There is a real collegiate feel about the place and no one was too important to talk to you - from analyst to MD.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • It was so well organised, really well structured. There was just he right amount of mandatory sessions where we were given the opportunity to meet with quite senior people in the business.. The project week was fantastically organised and was very enjoyable

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • When you stop and think about it, the firm has invested an absolute fortune in each and every one of us.. They have provided us with training - in finance, excel, Bloomberg, Reuters - they have paid for Bloomberg log ins for us, paid for social events for us to enable us to meet senior members of staff. They have invested their time and effort also and it was so very much appreciated.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I've had an amazing experience in the firm, also having completed the spring week with Morgan Stanley. They are a firm that care deeply about the young employees, both in terms of recruiting the best and in terms of making them better.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • As the intern class was quite large, there were more people for you to be able to strike up a relationship with. I can safely say that friendships were made that will last.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Although accommodation was expensive, it was no more expensive than the norm, and reasonable given that we had a short term let and it was during the Olympic period.
