    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I loved my job, I looked forward to going to work everyday. There was so much scope for variety and with a passion for films and entertainment, it was the perfect internshp for me!

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt like part of the team from day one, you were definately seen as a valued member of the team, and no one segregated you as the 'intern'.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My manager was fantastic, always there to give me support if I needed it, but also left you to do things alone so you could take responsibility for your own work. Everyones door was always open, and the whole team made it clear they were there to help if you did need any guidance.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • No two days were ever the same. Constantly working on various films and dealing with all the European territories. I can honestly say I don't think I had a day when I was bored! Sometimes you did have to work late or work at weekends for events, but I enjoyed being part of it all.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • So much, the year really enabled me to develop my project management skills as I had a number of projects to work on.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • There are the transferable skills like attention to detail, working to deadlines, and enhanced communication skills which will help me

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Busy, lively, approachable department.

    3/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • It is great, it has been in place for a few years now so they really know how to run an effective intern scheme.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • We had various internal training and development days throughout the year, also we could do one external training (for Microsoft powerpoint etc)

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    Company Parties/Events

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I would love to get the opportunity to work for Warner Bros. in the future, however they do not run a graduate scheme but I hope sometime in the future there would be a suitable position I could apply for.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There are over 20 interns in total across the whole company, so we tried to ensure we organised regular nights out and also groups often met at lunchtime in our "Hub" cafe.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • At the time, my placement was one of the best paid for my industry, however I chose to live in central London, zone 1, so the rent was half my wage. I just budgeted though and always managed to do what I wanted.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Working in central London, we had many bars and restaurants right by the office for lunches or drinks after work. Also, walking distance to Covent Garden and Leicester square etc, so plenty to choose from.

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Personally I was a member of the gym which I regulary went to with friends and also had quite a large network of friends in London so I always had plenty to do.

    4/5
