  • Whenever I needed help my manager was always there, if I didn't know the answer I always had someone at work I could turn to for answers.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • At the start of my placement there were times that I filled the day with research. I was the first intern in my role and I have now created a pack for future interns so they will always have work to do.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a lot of responsibility; I had many meetings with senior leadership and given the opportunity to express my own ideas. I was also in charge of a new tracking tool for the company which lead me to training some of our American employees which was a great challenge.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I did a variety of tasks from answering phones to writing emails. Within my placement year I have learnt how a successful business is run, got involved in extra groups outside of work and done a lot of market research which will be valuable in my degree.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Within my placement I worked alongside engineers, this was a huge shock for me. The office was generally quiet which enabled me to get on with work and was always pro-active.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Towards the beginning of my placement I felt that more work should have been set and it did seem slightly unorganised. However as the months went on I was set more tasks.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Within the company there is online training tools, I also attended a facilitation course. However I did not receive too much work, many training was on the job training or I picked it up as I went along.

  • Flexi Time

    Subsidised Canteen

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes the interns were all of similar age and we had socials at least once a month. There were also younger employees at the company who came out with us to, from going to watch the local rugby to going out for meals.

    5/5
