    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I was given jobs which had genuine importance and kept me busy.

    • The team was very welcoming and the company put a lot of effort into introducing you to other interns and the firm.

    • My line manager took a lot of interest in my learning and sought out opportunities for me to have a go at.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • I never had nothing to do but rarely had to stay particularly late in the office.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?

    • Every placement student has to complete at least one project to improve the area in which they're working so there's great opportunity and freedom to show what you can do. I never had to do a job for which I couldn't see the end result and the bigger picture.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • Massively improved my excel skills. Time management, presentation and general working skills also improved.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • Busy and pro-active. The team I was in was social but there was not much interaction between teams.

    • I can't think of a part that wasn't well organized.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • Most impressive thing about the placement. I was given feedback on my strengths and room from improvement from as early as the phone call that offered me the position. They genuinely want you to do well.

    • Very appealing but it is very competitive.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • There was a good group atmosphere, facilitated by the company.

    • I lived mainly at home so it wasn't too expensive to me.

    • Worked in central london. So had a pretty active social life.

    • Not really, there are office football teams etc but I was never introduced to them.
