  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Itnwas only a day long but gave a brilliant insight into all aspects of the firm, including leisure, food, and the culture of the firm

  • Everyone was so approachable and the graduate team learned my name straight away so it seemed that they cared amongst all the people there

  • The presentations were very helpful and staff and trainees alike were there to answer any queries whatsoever

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The negotiation skills exercise was fantastic and so helpful, both during my degree, as well as what I plan on doing when I finish in the commercial environment

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Timing was very well thought out and not too much time was spent on any of the activities. It gave me a taste into everything the firm has to offer and I remained engaged with the content throughout

  • Everyone was welcoming and even though it was a stressful environment, everyone seemed to have time if you approached them.

  • The activities provided did this, however it was slightly limited due to time constraints

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • Work shadowing in particular helped me understand this. Having the tour and seeing people in their offices was a great help in realising this also

  • It showed people 'off record' and how they work. Being inside the building showed me the strong branding and belief in the firm name

  • A very simple process and they were happy to reimburse all expenses

  • Networking lunch and 'speed dating' with some of the main departments

  • Very insightful, however many times I had little opportunity to ask my questions, though they were answered in general by other people

  • The tour showed us the gym and the trainee told me all about their sporting opportunities and pro bono work

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Such a fantastic opportunity, even if you're not sure if an international, or even a City law firm is for you. I was in this mindset before, but now I would definitely like to work here
