    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Great experience. Have got so much out of it in terms of knowledge, experience and confidence.

  • Sometimes it can be hard to add value but if you do what you can then it is valued and you are encouraged to take on more responsibility where possbile.

  • This is largely left to your own initiative but guidance is always there when you ask for it.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was busy pretty much all the time but rarely pushed too far.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Probably as much as I could have taken on legally. Unfortunately there are quite a lot of restrictions on what you are allowed to do.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Priceless experience. I will take a lot away from this in terms of skills and career development.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Fairly relaxed atmosphere. Good fun people. Can go out for drinks etc.

  • Very well organised by HR. But the desks could give more structure to interns to help them learn more.

  • A lot of time and money. Very impressive.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Can make what you want of it really. Have the entire of London to explore so plenty to do.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Very expensive in the city obviously.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Great bars around Liverpool Street.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Not really apart from with interns. Although I know some people played football with there desks in the evening.
