    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I had varied work which kept things interesting and everyone made a really big effort to be friendly and make sure that I was getting on well.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I was given tasks that showed they trusted the output of work I would produce. I was often included in meetings on key decisions and was made to feel valued when they asked to trial new ideas out on me.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My supervisor was incredible and really made a big difference to the whole internship experience. She made sure that I was getting a variety of work to experience being in different teams and that I was comfortable and happy with the tasks that I was doing. She also made sure that I challenged myself and made the most of my time at Accenture.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Generally speaking very busy occasionally staying in the office an extra hour or so to get things finished. I was less busy in the first week or so as there was a limited amount of things I could do before I learned more about what was going on.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a key role on a project and sometimes conducted meetings with the client myself.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I will benefit from developing my ability to work independently and under pressure to deadlines. Also the long working hours will be great preparation for putting in those hours in the library in third year!

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • People were serious but also more fun when there weren't big deadlines or important meetings looming. Everyone was always really friendly.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Generally very good. The induction week in London was brilliant but they don't tell you which project you are working on untill a few days into the training which can make planning a nightmare!

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Everyone went out of their way to help me get the most from the internship and give me advice. The training was excellent - workshops on presenting skills, Excel etc.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Sports and Social Club

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    5/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Will be finding out this week whether they are offering me a graduate job. I would definitely consider accepting.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • On out of town projects everyone stays in a hotel Mon-Thurs so the team generally eats together and may organise other activities e.g the cinema. Accenture organised about 3/4 intern events in London so all the interns can catch up.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London is very expensive obviously but Accenture pay expenses only if you are on out of town projects for evening meals/hotel cost.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • London has a lot to offer! Some of Accenture's out of town projects are in random locations where there is nothing to offer apart from the hotel you stay in!

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • If you're actually based in London then Accenture have lots of societies you can get involved in such as sports which is a great way to meet more Accenture employees that aren't actually working on your project.
