    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • My job was very admin based which I personally did not enjoy at times. However I did enjoy gaining an insight to my department as I observed many interesting challenges faced by the diverse roles within it.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I feel like the support I received from my manager was amazing. I could talk to them whenever I wanted and I had two meetings per week to discuss any issues I was having.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • My work load fluctuated quite a bit throughout my placement year as I had some days where I would be finding menial tasks to carry out and other days when I was very rushed. However, I understand that this was just the nature of the department I worked in and my manager provided me with excellent guidance in helping me prioritise my task list.

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I feel I had quite a lot of responsibility as I was set tasks by a number of members of the team and it was my responsibility to prioritise and ensure I completed tasks on time.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I feel like this year has been valuable to me as I have had the chance to enhance my interpersonal and communication skills by working in a dynamic and professional environment. I also feel that I am now much more organised and I have much better initiative in managing my own tasks. I feel like the skills I have gained here have made me a lot more confident in succeeding in my degree and acheiving graduate employment.
