  • -The Drug Safety Role is a role where you learn about an entirely new industry and become fully aware of how a Pharmaceutical companies reporting responsibilities work. -Working for Janssen UK not only enables you to learn about the specific field you want to enter, there are many oppurtunities to go and shadow other departments within the company and learn about other areas of the business. -Working for such a huge organization which is part of the Johnson and Johnson family has really enable do develp my overall professional skills by attending specialist courses such as presentation skills, excell skills and specialist CV workshops before leaving. -You will be fully trained and expected to do a real job. I had the same responsibility as any other member of my department by the time I left. It is the perfect balance though you are not thrown in at the deep end and expected to do much. -This organization provides excellent oppurtunities to network at events such as Annual company conference and the Medical Conference. These events are something I will never forget! -This organization is very professional and supportive I have received full support in conducting the 6 uni projects I needed too whilst on placement and have successfully gained my 20 credits, they will go out of their way to help you! -You really feel part of a team at Janssen in addition to your daily job they are really good at team building and getting involved in the community. Throughout my time I here I have been involcved with many community clean up projects with my department. -The training and development for students is very well structured and well organized at Janssen. You have assigned curricula to complete and will be set objectives by your manager throughout the year. I have come from knowing nothing about Drug Safety to being a competent Drug Safety Scientist in my year. -The students at Janssen are really valued and treated the same as any other employees, you will really get involved and not spend your days making tea and coffee. The student body at Jansen are also expected to complete many charity events and fundraising events throughout their year here. Organizing these events themselves in such a huge organization has definitely helped develop my professional and organizational skills. This placement has definitely opened my eyes to the real world and I now feel much more equipped for my third year at uni and applying for graduate jobs. I have also found a job and organization I would definitely come back too!
