  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I enjoyed the constant changing elements of my job.

  • I have a lot of responsibility and know i am important member of the team.

  • Management were very good at giving guidance and backing me up at times when i needed support.

  • Often very very busy.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I managed a number of important customer accounts and was given complete responsibility to be the face of Intel to my customers.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I feel i have developed alot, especially with an increase in confidence. I feel i have developed my public speaking skills. I have also gained an extensive insight into the running of a business.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Often a lot of banter and team activities going on. However could be a bit tense at busy times of the year.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • we had an extensive training scheme set up for us and well as time with the previous interns in order to get to grips with our new jobs. We also had a lot of social events set up to help us make friends and become part of the team.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • i found i did not have much time for personal development. However i did attend some training courses. But i feel i have developed a lot as a person simply in my role.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Due to changes in the business i am not sure if i will get the opportunity to return. However i would love to return but perhaps in a different role.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes i have made many friends during my placement. There have been many nights out and other social events. I have also been invloved in other activites with the charity committee which has allowed me to meet some lovely people in the Swindon community.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Relatively cheao especially on student nights. I lived at home so was very lucky not to have to pay any rent!

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Relatively good nightlife but definately not as good as Bristol! But i think it all depends on who you're with, we managed to get the best out of most nights.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Plenty, i was involved in the charity committee but there was also sporting events and other activities to get involved in.
