    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • A great summer. I gained a lot of experiece, both in the Actuarial filed and simply in terms of working in an office environment as part of a small team. It was also, most of the time, extremely fun!

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • AS an Actuarial intern, it can sometimes be difficult to feel like you are actually contributing to the team, because the other memers have a lot more knowledge and experience than you do. I do feel like the project I worked on was of value to the company, however.

    3/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was rarely bored, there is always something to do, or read, or learn about.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was left to my own devices to come up with whatever conclusion I felt appropriate from my project, and so I think I was given a lot of responsibility.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
