The Role
Really loved my time here. I thought it was really enjoyable - the work I got to do was meaningful and I got to meet so many new people - friends for life. It was definitely worth it.
Everyone was keen to help me with any questions I had. They wanted me to do well and I had a good time in the team.
Great support and guidance. I never felt overwhelmed as I always knew I could just talk to my manager or one of my colleagues in the team. I learned a lot from them.
I thought it was a really good balance. I thought at the start I would be overloaded with work every day but it just wasn't the case.
The work I was working on was actually meaningful and the team trusted me with important parts. It was quite nerve-racking at times but the team helped me get through it.
I came into the internship wanting to improve my communication skills. I think I have definitely done that and it is a skill that I will definitely in later life. I also picked up many new skills which will also be useful.
The Company
Great atmosphere. Everyone was there to help and I looked forward to coming into the office everyday.
Great organisation. The team organising kept in contact with us throughout the internship so we all knew what was happening and what was coming up which was good.
Great training was provided. Also had meetings with my manager to discuss progress and development. This was a great way of seeing what I needed to improve on.
Company Parties/Events
Well, I got good feedback from my manager and it seems like an area I would like to work in, so I would love to go back there to work.
The Culture
Great social scene. There were many events where we could meet each other and get to know each other. It was a really good way to relax. Lunches with the other interns was good as well.
Expensive but I thought it was ok as I am used to managing a budget.
Great nightlife. Really good way to end a hard week's work, and there's a lot to do.
There were many socials and other events organised. It meant that networking with others was really easy -- I built quite a good network by the end of the internship which was really good.
