  • Wide variety of projects gave me an insight into different segments of the business.

  • Very welcoming from day one! Everyone is always willing to help you.

  • There when you need them even by email when away on business.

  • Good flow of work load and if I was short of work I could ask for a new project.

  • Trusted to run a project on my own means and it was upto me to update the team as necessary.

  • Friendly, fun and often cakes!

  • Possible although the majority of the marketing department is in Ohio, USA.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes there was a Lubrizol ball, Christmas meals. the students organised nights out/film nights. The sports and social club have weekly and monthy events also.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Very cheap quality, accomodation and nights out were cheap.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Derby is quite small but has some good bars and a couple of clubs or it's only 30 mins on a bus to Nottingham for a night out.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • The sorts and social club have weekly sports sessions and monthly trips such as to London.
