    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I enjoyed my placement however it was difficult adapting at first to the change of lifestyle from university, however the opportunities that I had available to me were worth it.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My team was quite small but this made it easier to settle in and get know everyone a bit more personally. Were like a small family now!

  • Good amount of guidance but also allow you to use your iniative and develop your own way of doing things.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Fairly busy, however some of the tasks were very repeatitive and tedious.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • A large amount of responsibility was given to me as my team also travelled quite a bit, so there would be times where I would have to sort problems out myself.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I think the skills I have developed have been more useful for future employment rather than my degree.

  • It was nice, not as fun and active as other floors, but the people made up for it.

  • Really well set up, they really value interns and want to help with development in your job role and prepare you for future employment.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I recieved a PHP training course which was paid for by the company which took place in London, was a good experience and I got a qualification out of it too.

  • Very appealing, they value young people and their skills.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yeah everyone naturally gravitated in to their own cliques, but overall everyone was really friendly.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London is quite expensive to eat and live but it is worth it because at the end of the day you are in the capital city and you're spoilt for choice!

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • The nightlife was good and there were always lots of people to go out with and cool clubs to go to and a lot of them did student nights/events etc.

  • The interns were really active and we planned stuff to do outside of work.
