  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • Good food and accommodation provided, good company, great itinerary!

    • We were provided with good quality refreshments, accommodation and transport. The staff at the firm were also friendly towards us.

    • The lawyers and recruitment staff were very helpful and also willing to answer our questions.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I developed my networking skills which is always useful. The workshop also included negotiation and alternative dispute resolution sessions which were very enjoyable and gave me a basic understanding of such aspects of lawyers' work.

    • The activities were well organised and the planned schedule was carried out smoothly.

    • I made several new connections although I wish I made more. Overall, the atmosphere was quite laidback and encouraging for a first year undergraduate student in a big firm.

    • There was an adequate number of lawyers who took time off to speak with us.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • I will be reimbursed fully for my travel expenses to London. One night accommodation was provided hence I did not incur costs for that.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • In addition to meeting lawyers who sat with us during the workshop sessions, there was also a trip to the Shard and a drinks and networking session.

    • It was adequate.

    • This was not emphasised. I remeber pro bono work is one.

    • I really enjoyed it, and hope to secure a place in the firm's vacation scheme next year.
