    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • Overall it was a very pleasant experience.

    • The people we met at the company were all very friendly and helpful when we were there.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?

    • We each shadowed a trainee for a day, and were able to talk to various members of the company and ask as many questions as we liked.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • There were a few hands-on workshops with role play that were conducted for us, and this gave me insight into the type of work that goes on at the firm.

    • The programme was well thought out, and managed to cover many important things while not being too rushed or hassled.

    • There was a very positive vibe throughout.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • There were workshops, but given that it was only a two-day introduction, in depth development cannot be expected. However, we were given personal attention as we wear each paired with a trainee to shadow.

    • There was an introductory talk, and also many chances to chat with current employees and see them at work to get a better idea of what working at the firm would be like

    • Generally, getting to talk to current employees was a great help.

    • We were reimbursed for travel costs, and accommodation was taken care of.

    • Meal times were good times to speak to current employees.

    • We got to visit the special exhibition, "Bailey's Stardust" at the National Portrait Gallery.

    • Most employees I met were involved in pro bono work.
