    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I loved this placement! My time here has been one of the best years of my life and one of the most valuable learning experiences I'll ever have. The company and it's employees are all some of the nicest people I've met and getting to work with such a creative company and environment will continue to inspire after I leave.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Interns at Adobe are part of the team and not considered any less of an employee than managers. Everyone works together to get campaigns completed on an equal level and everyone is always eager to help and happy to say hello.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My managers are always happy to teach me how to do something or answer questions I may have about anything and everything. There is training and insight given through the company as well as hands-on work to learn the job.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • It can be slow at times but there is never a dull day where there isn't at least one thing to work on. Most days there are many tasks to do in order to prepare for the next campaign or meetings to attend but you are never over-worked.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • The team trust their interns therefore I got to lead campaigns on my own and take the initiative to do my own work as well.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • As an intern here I got to actually see projects from start to finish which gave me the opportunity to actually learn every step of the campaign process for myself. Now I can take that and put it towards my future career as well as my final year of university.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The office is pretty quiet sometimes since everyone has projects going on but everyone is always happy to have a chat

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The placement is one of the best in the country. Interns are given time to get a handle on things from the start but over time we end up actually taking control of our work and advising others on what needs to be done.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There are plenty of opportunities to pick the brains of people in the company and get advice for your future. The company provides training and other opportunities to learn and have fun during your time here. CSR is a big part of this company.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Sports and Social Club

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    National Travel

    Company Parties/Events

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop

    Working from home

    Healthcare/Dental

    Travel loan

    5/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • It isn't common for interns to come back and work for this company but it has happened and is always a possibility. My time here has lead to a job with the company agency!

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There are only 2 interns at Adobe which makes it a more personal experience to have that person you can talk to and equally get a lot of projects to lead on your own.

    3/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • As a commuter area rent is as little as £350 or as high as £700 depending on room size and quality. Maidenhead itself is boring so would recommend living in Reading or somewhere with more to do.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • There is not really any nightlife in Maidenhead.

    2/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There is a football club and a few other opportunities to get involved with people from work.

    4/5
