  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I've loved working there. I've found the work interesting and everyone has been very helpful.

  • Once I became practiced at certain tasks, they were passed to me more regularly.

  • We have a regular catch-up session with our manager.

  • I had plenty to, especially with the intern project.

  • I was trusted to do the tasks given to me, but obviously theres a limit to what I could be involved with.

  • I learnt lots that will help me in an actuarial career in the future.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • There were plenty of social opportunities, and people in the office were always interested in what you were doing outside work.

  • It's run very smoothly.

  • They gave us enough training to be useful, and were always happy to answer any queries.

  • I hope to be offered the job!! I've loved my placement, and feel its the right job for me.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • We started with two days in London, and had a project to do, so we got to know each other quite well.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Its Birmingham, so fairly expensive.

  • Its Birmingham! Theres something for everyone.

  • There were several social events in the time I was there.
