  • I really enjoyed the whole week - everyone at the firm was extremely welcoming and ready to answer my questions. I also felt I gained what I wanted out of the Work Experience programme - to appreciate how the firm differentiates itself from other City law firms.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I had the opportunity to assist the associate I was sitting with, as well as complete some tasks for other members of the group I was sitting in. They all also took the time to give me feedback on what I had done, which was very useful.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Both the skills and information I received will definitely help me when making training contract applications in the future and I have gained valuable experience within a law firm, which has helped me to clarify why exactly I want to practise commercial City law.

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • The payment more than covered my expenses for the week.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • There was a drinks reception at the start of the week and a dinner with lawyers at the firm of various levels, which gave us the opportunity to talk to them in an informal atmosphere.

  • 4/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • The programme was very beneficial and you really do have the opportunity to ask questions and find out about the firm, whilst gaining experience of doing smaller pieces of legal work, such as those a trainee might do.
