    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Not only did I learn a lot from my placement, I felt as though it gave me a real insight into what working in HR would be like. It has given me a great deal of experience that will stay with me forever.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My colleagues would always push me to achieve and gave me duties beyond the normal boundaries of a placement student. I finished the placement and I am still in regular contact with the whole team

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My manager gave me the support, confidence and knowledge to achieve in the recruitment industry. The guidance my manager gave me has set me up for life and I do not believe I would be in an employable position without her.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I never felt like I was bored or left without any work to do but at the same time I was never stressed with the workload that I was given.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • A lot of the jobs that I was given were those that would have been done by the employees already working at the company. I felt like I was given a lot of responsibilities in that respect.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills I have learned here are priceless. It has taught me so much about the HR industry standards and what requirements you need for a job like this.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very well, I had lots of training when I first started, with hand over notes and constant support throughout the year.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I had frequent training opportunities, where I got to have time out of the office and go see our agencies and how they operated. I also had personal development training which gave me better working skills
