    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • It was incredibly enjoyable, not only due to the activities but due to the fact that it is the most open and friendly working environment I have experienced so far.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Hard to comment on this as it was only a Spring Insight, but we were taken very good care of.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • All of the analysts I met were more than willing to help out with the Group Project. The HR department were also very helpful if we had any issues / questions.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have not received a better learning experience over any other week; it has really provided me with an in-depth knowledge of the business.

  • Really great - everyone was friendly and open, which gave it a welcoming atmosphere.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They provided us with a lot of resources for our projects and had senior people come in and give talks to enhance our knowledge and understanding of the business.

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • There's only so much one can say for a week's insight but the group project and extensive work shadowing certainly made it quite clear what a full time role would be like.

    4/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • The Rothschild culture is very, very difficult to miss. I'm not sure a single employee neglected to talk about it.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • I was decided anyway but I know many people were swayed from the bulge-bracket banks towards Rothschild.

    5/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • Travel and lunch was reimbursed.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Between work-shadowing, networking lunches and tea with directors, there was no shortage of networking.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • There was a drinks event on the first night and certainly opportunity for networking.

    4/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • I learnt a little about Rothschild's charity work.

    4/5
