The Role
A great insight to the way large companies run
A very busy environment with lots to do meant that there was little time to get to know people very well as shifts differed day to day
Support was given when asked, but wasn't automatically given
It was a mixture of busy periods and quiet. However, i preferred the busier periods as the time went fast and enjoyed the work.
I was given similar responsibility as other colleagues
I was able to develop time management skills- this will help me with my studies. Additionally, i was able to develop my skills in team work- this will be a useful skill when applying for jobs with group interviews
The Company
There were moments of fun and joking around but also it was important to get the work done.
There have many interns and so they all follow the same regime.
They gave me tasks in which they believed were beneficial for me, where i would gain skills for future
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Part time work with them would be great as i'm managing a degree.
The Culture
Yes. there was opportunity for socialising at the job and a lot of people met up outside of hours.
I worked local, so felt no price difference in when i would socialise with friends.
Good. Same area as home town
A few opportunities however i did not take these.
