Spring Internship Review

It was an excellent insight into the work of a city law firm. Everyone was approachable and welcoming and this made me feel at ease. I enjoyed each shadowing session with solicitors and I enjoyed networking with people within the firm. The amount of responsibility that I was given was also very rewarding.

Everyone was approachable and welcoming. I was made to feel at ease and I was encouraged to ask questions whenever I needed to. The solicitors who I shadowed also seemed to highly value the help that I gave them.

Every question that I asked was answered thouroughly. There was also many people who were available to be contacted if I had any questions.

This was a great event and I have learned the most valuable skills that are needed to gain a place in a city law firm. It has made me much more confident and I now understand what firm's want.

There was great structure throughout the day and everything ran smoothly. However, I feel it may have been useful if more after work activities were included.

Everyone wanted to create an environment that was fun and friendly. There was a great working environment and I know this is a firm in which I would thrive to work in.

There was a lot of effort put into every individual. Each person was encouraged to gain a valuable insight into the firm and people were encouraged to develop their skills.

I gained a valuable insight into what would be needed from me if I was to have a full time role in the company. The shadowing of solicitors have me real life experience of the different types of work available at the firm.The realistic working hours also helped.

We had a number of sessions on the culture of the company and I learned a lot from these sessions. However, when working in different departments it was evident that the culture was deeply embedded in the firm.

I feel that I had already a good idea on my career path, but this scheme has made me even more enthusiastic about my future career.

I had to pay a large amount for my London accomodation, so it would have been helpful if I could have been reimbursed partially for this!

We were given many opportuities to network throughout general working day. The partner lunch on Wednesday evening also gave me a chance to speak to partners. However, I feel it would have been beneficial if there was more networking opportunities after working hours.

There is lots going on within the firm and this was highlighted in the morning sessions. Talking to employees of the firm also allowed me to gain an insight into what activities people were involved in outside of work.

This was an amazing experience and was extremely useful for my future career outlook.
