About You
It was an amazing place to be and the service users were fantastic, however I had to complain about some bullying towards the service users by a staff member.
Even though support was there when needed, I felt like a lot of people depended on me.
Support was there, but there wasn't much of it.
It helped me on how to communicate with people who have different disabilities
The Company
We were told what we were going to do each morning, like most employees, so not wry structured.
Like I said the service users were great, but there was a staff member that bullied the service users.
There wasn't anything major that could be done because of the service, however they did let me expand on a lot of my skills.
They treat my like a staff member, so I was fully aware of the the job would entail.
It helped me to understand that there was a lot of leeway given to paid staff and volunteers about how to treat some service users.
It made me want to specialise in adults with learning disabilities as they were great.
Everything Else
I was not paid back for my bus fare.
They took us to another house nearby to help with a party.
There was a lot f thins for them to do, such as discos and karaoke.
As I said we went to another house that employees also came to.
The bullying staff member put me off going back.
