    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Massively. Gave me a really good insight Rothschild's various business areas.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Not really applicable as we didn't do any actual work, but everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • As much as we needed, there were always people on hand to help at any time and we shadowed some analysts who were more than happy to answer any technical questions we had.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I do a non-finance related degree, so not too much. Although the presentation and interview skills will be useful for many other things.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • It ran perfectly, was never bored or left without anything to do.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The fellow spring interns were very friendly as were the people we met who worked at the firm.

    4/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • We were given presentation and interview skills sessions, which will definitely be useful in future interviews. The future opportunities at the firm and fast track process was very well explained, so it seemed like they viewed us as prospective employees.

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • We didn't do any actual work, but talking to people at all levels in the firm gave me an idea of what life would be like there.

    4/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • The culture is one of the main selling points, and it was clear from the minute I started why that is so.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • Confirmed my decision to want to follow this path.

    4/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • Reimbursed travel expenses. Hotel for those who lived outside the M25.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Fantastic, got to spend a couple of hours with analysts and also were given opportunities to talk to Directors at the firm.

    4/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • Good, there was a meet and greet event in the evening of the first day.

    4/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Didn't really find out about this, but the programme was short so there was a lot of other stuff to pack in. During the work shadowing you could talk to the analysts about anything so that would be the perfect time to find out.

    3/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • 100%. If you, like me, don't know too much about the industry then this really gives you a good insight, with presentations on all the different businesses and opportunities to talk to people at all levels in the firm.

    5/5
