About You
I really enjoyed this programme-I learnt a lot and was never bored.
All the employees I met were friendly and open to help and did not look down on us in any way.
The HR team were very supportive and looked after us well. There were plenty of networking opportunities with GFA analysts too. There could have been more guidance in the project work.
The presentation skills session was very useful and I learnt so much from the more technical presentations.
The Company
Very well structured. Sometimes the sessions were a bit tight with timings but only because there was so much content packed in!
Sessions were interesting and informative and all the employees were friendly and supportive.
I gained good presentation and networking practice as well as learning about the firm and its divisions.
The 2 work shadowing sessions were particularly informative as the GFA analysts showed us exactly what they did in the day-to-day job.
The unique collegiate atmosphere and values of Rothschild were emphasised throughout.
I feel like I understand a lot more about what GFA is about and what I would do as an analyst but I think I would need to try it out (like in an internship) before deciding my career path for certain.
Everything Else
We were reimbursed travel expenses or £100 per night accommodation expenses for those who lived outside a commutable distance and were given a £5 lunch allowance each day.
There was a lunch and 2 work shadowing sessions with analysts as well as afternoon tea with the directors on another day.
Very enjoyable and the analysts were particularly helpful.
I know there is a gym in the office! The programme was more focused on the work at Rothschild though.
Thoroughly enjoyable and worthwhile.
