Human Resources Departement Review

I thouroughly enjoyed my year at Janssen-CIlag. I was given high levels of responsibility and i would recommend this as a fantastic placement to anyone

I felt fully integrated in the HR department and my efforts were always noticed and congratulated making me feel a very valued member of the team

The balance of responsibility was perfect. I was given alot of responsibility and often lead projects with little guidance, however i knew it was always there when required and always got full support when required

After the first 2 months i always had plenty to do. Once i had gained the trsut of my colleagues i worked at a high level of business which suited my working requirements.

I was given alot of responsibility and trust in my departement and from the wider company. Working in HR requires high professionalism and trust at all times, and after achieving this i was certainly a fully integrated and trusted member of the team.

I learnt so much during my placement year that i think it will take some years to realise the full value of my year at Janssen-Cilag. My computer skills developed no end and will certainly help me ion my final year and the general business accumin and work experience will help greatly in interviews etc after university.

As a small departement, there were some days when people were out of the office that it could be quite quiet. However, as a very busy departement there was never a dull moment and i got on very well with all my team - joining in with the office humour! The office as a whole was very friendly and had a nice atmosphere to work in.

Very well organised. I had clear objectives and goals and a personal development plan designed specifically for my role.

We took part on various training sessions throughout the year including a very insightful presentation workshop.

I was told that if i did decide to follow a career in HR and a position was available they would love to have me back

Being one of 25 students meant that i had a very active social life outside of work. I also lived with fellow students and have made some strong friendships this year.

Very reasonable - housing cost around £300 and a night in Wycombe and the surrounding areas could easily be done for under £30 including taxi's.

The town of High Wycombe (although a student town) does not have alot of options for nights out. However we always had great nights out there and Reading, London, Oxford etc are all very close for bigger nights out.

There were often social events organised outside of work aswell as well as paintballing, theatre outings etc.
