The Role
Great firm to work for within an interesting department
Was made to feel like a valued member of the team form day one
My manager was not only interested in my views and opinions but also proved to be an invaluable mentor
Being a mature intern, and having worked previously in very busy environments, I felt the pace of work was slow although enjoyable
When I made it known that I was able to take on more responsibility the team trusted me to be able to manage it
As far a financial services is concerned, I felt the skills I developed were invaluable
The Company
At first it was a little strange (open office everyone can hear everything) but I quickly got used to this and found everyone in the office friendly, helpful and interesting to work with
First two weeks were very slow and could have been structured better but opportunities for training and interaction with staff at every level was fantastic
Have absolutely no complaints and thought the training available was of the highest standard
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
If I chose to work in financial services after university I would want to work for this organisation 100%
The Culture
Yes, however it was slightly difficult for me as a mature intern with a family to attend all the organised socials out of working hours
I live in the location I was based so this was irrelevant to me
I have a family at home so didn't go out to clubs
Lots available if you were able to attend
