    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed the people in the office and throughout the company. Everyone was very helpful and informative. I was also able to do a lot of different things, considering my short time here.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My colleagues in my department and in my office were very helpful. As well as people I interacted with on a daily basis. Some employees in the company were more untrusting when they first met me or worked with me.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The management in my department was very helpful and supportive of the work I did. They occasionally met with me to make sure I was getting things out of my internship and would ask what else I want to do while I was here.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was busy on most days. There were some slower days when other people in my department were out of the office and I didn't have a lot to do.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was pleasantly surprised when I was given the responsibility of interviewing candidates for some open positions in the office.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I think the training I received will be helpful, no matter what field I go into. I am hoping to stay in HR and so I think it will be extremely helpful.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Everyone is very friendly and really enjoys what they do and where they work.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • It was a casual set up but they had had interns before and knew what they were doing.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They allowd me to go to a lot of informational meetings with upper level management. They also set me to training and other workshops in London.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Lots of people have asked me if I would come back to work here and they seem like they would want me to come back.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Most people are very social and like to stop and chat. I was also able to socialize with the other interns and some other younger employees.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I was staying with a family so did not have many expenses but the area was about average in what I would expect with cost.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • I don't think there was a lot of nightlife in the area, at least not what I would call nightlife. There's a pretty good selection of pubs but that's about it.

    2/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yes, I went on charity events, went to other company offices, went on an intern trip into London

    4/5
