The Role
I loved my Placement as ASOS, I gained a lot of valuable experience and enjoyed my time there.
I wan never treated by an intern by my colleagues or management at ASOS. I felt like part of the team straight away and everyone I worked with was very friendly and welcoming.
I was constantly given support by my manager and had regular catch ups to see where I was and what was going to come next.
I always had plenty to do and gained a lot of responsibilities throughout my time. My day to day jobs varied and I got to work on projects for all departments in design.
I was given responsibilities straight away and they increased as my placement went on.
I feel after my placement and returning back to my degree I am a lot more focussed and have a greater understanding of how to work to a brief for a specific customer and how all parts of the design process work and link to one another and why they are necessary. I also think that having experience in the industry already under my belt I feel better equipped for when I do graduate and have confidence to apply fro roles I may not have done previous to my placement.
The Company
There was always a good atmosphere, even at busy times when things needed to be done quickly there was never any stress or negative energy.
The setup was easy and problem free.
The design team in particular invested a lot of time into introducing me to the role and helping me see all aspects of the design process.

I'd love to work for ASOS again. I am still in touch with my managers and colleagues on LinkedIn so would hope that if any job opportunities came up I would be considered for the sole if it were suitable.
The Culture
I mainly socialised with the design team and the footwear intern rather than the other interns in particular, however everyone was nice and socialised at staff parties.
Socialising and living in London was an expensive time for me.
The nightlife was good in Camden. There was plenty of after works drinks in pubs then also nights out.
There was plenty to do outside of work.
