  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Have had a really good year at golfbreaks.com. The people that worked at golfbreaks were easy to get along with and made you feel very welcome.

  • There was always an opportunity to take on more responsibility within your role, there was never any doubt from colleagues that you could not do your job. when you had done something good there was always praise.

  • if there was ever an area where you struggled a manager or member of the team would be there to help and solve the issue with you.

  • throughout my placement I was always busy. there was never a day when i could say i had nothing to do.

  • there was always an opportunity to take on more responsibility. certain roles that i had been given required great responsibilty.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have learnt a lot of new skills this year, and will take them away from golfbreaks.com to build upon in the future. nothing I learnt was a waste of time and every skill is of value to me.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • From the day i started my placement was organised. I had a lot of independent work which I was required to organise myself, but that helped with organisation skills.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I had book keeping sessions to improve my basic finance skills once a month. this helped in my day to day work and will help next year when i return to university.

  • If asked to return to work for golfbreaks, i would definately take that opportunity.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Most of the students lived together or near the company. we all got on very well with each other and we always socialised outside of golfbreaks.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Windsor is quite an expensive area so going out wasnt that cheap but there were ways around and ways to save money.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • the nightlife was quite good. not anything like university life at is it not a big city but there are a few clubs and some really good bars to go to.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • We went on familiarisation trips once every three months which aided us to get to know each other better. the students usually made plans of their own outside of work as there was so many of us.
