  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Everyday was different, a brilliant experience which I will never forget

  • I felt like part of a team within a week, everyone was more than happy to help if I had a problem.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My manager was fantastic. He continuously organised for me to attend tours, meetings and trips so I would get the most out of the experience.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Some days were quieter than other but overall the work I was given was very manageable.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I had my own project to develop and implement manufacturing improves which I took full responsibility. I had to present my work multiple times to managers in order to push my improvements forward.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Over the course of 3 months I developed my confidence, communication, presenting, time-management and prioritising skills. I will never forget what I have learnt.

  • Very friendly atmosphere, it felt like a family

  • This was the first time this placement was done in the manufactruing engineering department but overall I couldn't ask for much more

  • A lot of thought and effort was taken into developing my abilities, it was a privilege.

  • I will definitely be applying for the graduate programme

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Started off strongly but not much was organised after the first 4 weeks.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Preston isn't for everyone... it is cheap though

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Lots of high quality pubs and restaurants. I can't comment about the night clubs

  • None that I was aware of.
