    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • This year has given me a fantastic insight to business, I feel I have delveloped my business skills but also personally feel I have matured within the role and taught me many more life skills. A great oppertunity.

    • I have been made to feel very welcome and considered and treated the same as any employee.

    • Whenever I have needed support it has been availabel. I was also made to feel like I could ask for help and support at anytime.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • I think i has a good amount of work, at time there is too much work but can be looked at as a challenge, and one I enjoyed.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?

    • I have been given much responsibility and have made some choices such as choosing products to feature in nation wide Co-operative food stores.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I really do feel the skills i have learnt can only help me. The job has taught me much about the food retail world, but more than that I have learnt how to work well in a large corporation.

    • Always felt happy with the atmosphere.

    • Have no real complaints, never felt I did not know what was going on.

    • The company has given me the training to work within the job i am doing. It could of been excelled perhaps by being placed on more courses in other areas.

    • Very appealing for the future, no certainties but good prospects for the future.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • A great social scene and was able to build some great realshonships.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • Living was expensive and on what is a small wage did struggle at times, but cant complain!!!!

    • Manchester is Awesome!

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?

    • I was taken to old trafford to watch Manchester United, played for the Co-operative at the reebok stadium, plus many supplier events/charity events.
